I’ve been in love with Russell Simmons for a very, very long time. In the 90s, I had an obsession with businessmen (and women) and Simmons, the self-proclaimed yogi and man of philanthropy, was (and still is) the quintessential exec and entrepreneur. In light of his new show “Running Russell Simmons,” I decided to go in the basement and fish for his 2007 book “Do You! 12 Laws to Access the Power in You to Achieve Happiness and Success.” When I first read the book, it left me encouraged and energized (I even began to take yoga classes because of it. What did I ever do before yoga??).

As I’m in pursuit of a little encouragement and words of wisdom (sorry Rev. Run), I’m going to blog some gems from the book. I’ll add on as I flip back and forth between chapters.
Today:
“See your vision and stick with it…freeze your vision so that you can never lose it. Freeze it in your mind and meditate on it every day.”Update: I will also post from his book "Super Rich." He gives great advice that has already changed my way of thinking, the way I approach life and how I work.
